Auburn is the 2004 national champs, they over came adversity and did not have to cheat. War eagle
Oklahoma took the beating meant for Auburn. 55-19. AU would have not beat USC.
Because Auburn was penalized by the BCS computers for filling non-conference slate Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech and The Citadel a Division I-AA from the Southern Conference in 2004. After dropping Georgia Tech and Bowling Green off that 2004 schedule was supposed to played at Georgia Dome but moved to a renovated Bobby Dodd Stadium in 2003.
