Featuring little-known characters such as Madeleine Tress or 1980s videographer Nelson Sullivan who chronicled a vanishing downtown New York City during the AIDS epidemic, the series also features international figures such as Civil Rights pioneer Bayard Rustin, writer Audre Lorde and Senators Tammy Baldwin and Lester Hunt. The evolution of trans rights and identities through the decades is charted through interviews and archival footage of pioneers including Christine Jorgensen, Flawless Sabrina, Ceyenne Doroshow, Susan Stryker, Kate Bornstein, Dean Spade and Raquel Willis.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
I am hoping somebody can tell me where i can buy a copy of this documentary in DVD format. I can't find it ANYWHERE. Please help, thanx
watch it and it was fantastic!! where can I find the full version of ´little respect´from episode 4?? I need it!
I watched all of the episodes, really great. We should all watch it and know our history.
im glad she lost her kids
Watched the first episode. Thank you for having white women narrate about the racism faced by black trans-women. Yes, this was quite progressive thus far.
I have pride….that I am straight.
I saw Bayard Rustin in this trailer 😉 no one knows who he is. You all need to know!
What is the trans male name that was being interviewed
Israel, the only country in the Middle East to celebrate Pride. https://www.touristisrael.com/tel-aviv-gay-pride-parade/3809/
You have a right to be gay…but you are not special.
Brainwashed at it's best smh
This hardly talks about gay men history in general, for the first 3 episodes I watched so far anyway. It feels like a Trans and Lesbian documentary. People shown are very important player I am sure, but where are the gay men…All close up from marches and speaches are lesbian mostly. If they wanted to focus on them, great, but maybe not call it Pride and say it's an LGBT history documentary, it's an LT documentary 😉 They had Harvey Milk for like 3 minutes in the 70's episode…Well done but not representative of the gay men's part, they are a side notes.
Unfortunately, vis a vis San Francisco, the history of the early years in this doc is revisionist at best. Black, trans women were not the major players in challenging the police targeting of gay people in the sixties. It was a former priest, a gay man, Adrian Ravarour who founded Vanguard, the first gay organization to provide solace and support for young gay people(most men) who had been kicked out of their households in middle America and came to San Francisco, often ending up as hustlers. Ravarour helped them break out of those roles and politically change San FRancisco through MLK-type non-violent demonstration. Was he not colorful enough for you?
Gayyyy
YESS AND I LOVE THIS SONG TOO
Omg crying
OK can somebody please tell me who does this particular cover of the chain? It’s freaking awesome and I’ve got to have it on my playlist.
I'm putting this on list of shows not to watch
I came here to verify is this was Evanescence’s version of The Chain… but now I know it isn’t lol cuz the trailer on YouTube TV was shorter and I couldn’t make it out. Anyways, interested to watch this series! Go listen to Evanescence’s cover of The Chain too! It’s amazing

Really getting tired of seeing this commercial. I don't care about your "trials and tribulations" or how you felt "left out". We all have issues. We all overcome them. But when you demand to be in the spotlight, your pride turns into self righteousness. Pride isn't always a good thing. Too much pride is a bad thing. Have a little humility to balance it
I just watched all four episodes that have been played. Waiting on more. I was born on Stonewall day. This made me cry. The late 80's completely f#!$@# my world up. My first roommate died right in front of me in 1987. That was just the beginning. I hope all lgbt kids will watch this entire series and see what we survived through. I'm sure they are tired of hearing about it but they need to know.
The survivors should be respected, the casualties WILL be respected so the future of us can be protected …..Robert Fisher.
Looks like I’m unsubscribing
Disney really hit fx hard with the propaganda didint they
this is how it was being a skateboarder in the early 90's skating is not a crime and that is when I knew I was in a war.
This looks like a really good doc! I really hope they give Marsha P. Johnson the credit she deserves. Also, Real Question: Who's doing this Fleetwood cover of "The Chain"?! It's fire!
